My heart is breaking for those in Santa Barbara who have lost their houses. Seems like the wildfires are starting earlier this year. I wish they could have our rain. Those firefighters must be exhausted. I have to say it is amazing how the fires get a few house on a block and leaves some standing. I would feel guilty for some reason if my house was still standing.

9 to 5 The Musical

I love seeing Broadway shows. I guess that is the one of the best reason for living where I do. Seriously the snow is not why I like living here. I saw 9 to 5 last night with Megan Hilty, Allison Janney, Stephanie J. Block. I have to say I was pretty impressed with Allison since I didn't know she could sing. She was one of my favorite actresses on The West Wing.

I only watched the movie for the first time a month ago.

Newark Airport was nuts yesterday. It took me about 30 minutes to check in my baggage. Luckly I was there 2 and a half hours before my flight left. Some people missed their flights and was bitching at the people behind the counter. I wanted to go your fault not theirs. Seriously you know it is a holiday and everyone will be flying. Continental's hub is Newark so people should know it is going to be crowded.
Took me less time to go through security. Although I am use to flying so I know what to do. You always get one stupid person. LOL. The flight took 5:42 and the last time I went to LA it was 5. I hate being on a plane that long. The plane did have direct tv that you had to pay for but I was so tired I thought it would be a waste. This was the first flight where are the flight attendants were male. LOL they fed us breakfast. Cheese, egg omelet, on bagel, muffin, and fruit. Not too bad. Seriously they offered us drinks like 4 times but that means I would have had to pee and I refuse to use the bathrooms on a plane. Finally got there and I thought they lost my luggage since it took forever to come out. Bobi picked me up. It is go great to have friends who can do that. She needs to come to NYC sometime.

I took my college roommate Donna to see Wicked on Saturday night. I knew she would love it and she did. We staged door. Well I did but since I was driving she was stuck. People were actually cold. Finally got to meet my first Galinda, Alli Mauzey. Usually when I go and stage door she doesn't come out or she came out after I left. She was so sweet. Nicole Parker (Elphaba) asked everyone their name so she could personalize the signatures. So nice. Around 8 actors came out and they were all so sweet.

I should be excited that I leave Friday for San Jose but I have been in a funk. Don't know why. I have been thinking about my brother a lot recently and when we went to church on Sunday I got all teary eyed and almost cried. I always think about my brother during the holiday seasons. Love you Michael.

Packing sucks. I hate doing it but it is something you have to do. Either that or I am going to Bobi's naked and I don't think anyone want to see it.

I dyed my own hair on Sunday and I am pretty proud. I got most of the grays to go away.

My thoughts and prayers go out to those in Italy. For those who don't know there was an 6.3 earthquake in the central party of the country. I never want to get stuck in a quake. I would probably freak.

Eeekkk the cast of Hair is working on their cast album. I cannot wait to see listen to it.

I saw Idina Menzel in concert last night for the 4th time. Here's some videos someone else took. I was in the front row so I didn't think it was a smart thing to whip out the camera.

My friend passed away on Monday. I was devestated but it was not unexpected. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

It's snowing. Ughhhh March and it is snowing. It snowed in NC, cause my best friend lives down there and the news said 4 inches.

Spring needs to hurry up already.

There is a flu outbreak in NJ. Ughhh keep the flu away from me. Apparently, the strain that everyone is getting is resistant to the vaccine. Oh well, if I get it I have 92 hours of sick time.

I got a new digital point and shoot camera yesterday and I love it so far.

Testing this is just a test.

My left wrist hurts. That is never good. Last time I had problems the Rehab Director at work gave me a brace and I have no idea where it is now.

Would it kill for people to be on time? It frustrates me so much when someone cannot be on time.

I am so pissed my best friend Jessica will be up April 11th to the 18th when I am in San Jose. If I had known that she was coming I would have taken off the whole week and just stayed around NJ. Oh well. I get to go to CA and see my friend Bobi.

If you haven't heard there was a plane crash that killed all 48 on board and 1 on the ground last night. It was from Newark and crashed near Buffalo. I am not sure I want to get on a propeller plane.

I am off to NYC today and won't be back till Monday. I am so excited to see my friends but it is sorta bitter sweet cause one of my friends is in the hospital in critical condition.

Please keep my friend in your thoughts and prayers. She was admitted to the hospital about a week ago for some tests and ended up having to be put into a medically induced coma. She is still in the hospital and in ICU. I just pray for her family that everything will be all right.

Eeee we have high 50's weather coming up. Bring it on!! I hope next weekend is nice since I am spending the weekend in NYC with my friend Nancy.

So apparently NJ had a 3.0 earthquake last night. It wasn't in my county and I didn't feel it but people did and called 911. They said the biggest one we had was a 4.0 in 1985. Mind you we do live near the Ramapo fault line.

Wow it has been 6 years since the space shuttle Columbia fell apart on re-entry to the earth. It doesn't seem like that long ago that it happened and all 7 astronauts were killed.

Yesterday my mom and me went to another church for mass as our old priest was retiring. He was at our church from 1987-1999. (I was 10 when he arrived and 22 when he left). When they processed in the band played When the Saints Come Marching In. So not a regular mass but I loved it. His homily had everyone cracking up. Msgr. Salemi told us a story about how he was in Rome meeting the Pope when he was in school and someone was passing a baby up. He told the Pope in Italian that the baby wasn't his and the pope said are you sure. The church was small and the parking lot small so people double parked behind us so we couldn't get out and we had to leave early. There were a lot of people from my church.

New Layout

I got tired of my layout so I changed it. I like it for now. :)

I cannot wait till February 13th. My friend from Virgina is coming up and we are spending the weekend in NYC. She arrives Friday afternoon. I am going to meet her at Penn Station then we are going to go to the hotel. We are going to then do Top of The Rock and hopefully meet someone else for dinner. Then Saturday we are doing another walking food tour of NYC and meeting friends for dinner. We are having a dateless girls night out. Sunday we are going to see Wicked. :) My friend Nancy has never seen it and since I have seen it there is a new lead. Then she is leaving Monday.

I don't see her all that much so I am excited to see her.

Everything came out negative. Wahoooo!!!

So I didn't go to work today cause I have to go for a mamogram later. Not too freaked out cause the doctor yesterday said she didn't feel anything and that if it was cancer you usually don't get a pain associated with it.

Seriously all this snow is making me cry. It seems like we had enough snow already to last the rest of the winter. I wouldn't complain if my job closed in bad weather but I work in a nursing home and they never close.

Spring cannot come soon enough so I can take pictures. My friend is going to be in NYC in February and then another friend in April. In February we are having a dateless loveless girls night out for Valentine's Day.

President Obama's girls had off of school today and he goes for what. Ice. Don't forget they are from Chicago and school is never off. It was so cute.

Well, I gotta get going.

I went and saw Bride Wars over the weekend. Such a cute movie but it was predictable. My college roommate gave me a gift card for Christmas so I didn't even have to pay for the movie. It was only $6.00 to get in though. Not bad.

Last night I went out to listen to music with the parents. The only reason I went was cause my brother's friend James and his girlfriend was going. The poor girl was sick but they still came. I have seen the band before but they did some funny songs that I haven't heard before.

Ughhh here comes the snow. Well, tomorrow night into Wednesday. I refuse to stay Wednesday night if my co worker calls out. She better show up. Why should I have to work till 8pm? I am tired of doing 11 and a half hour days.

I am going to make a doctor's appointment for tomorrow. If I have to be late for work so be it. I wanted to go to the doctor's today but my co worker is off. I have been getting a pain in my chest and I want to get it checked out. Would rather the doctor say it is nothing then it be something serious.

President Obama has a nice ring to it. I missed the inauguration cause I was working. But you know it will be all over the news tonight.

I have to say I am thrilled to have a new president. It will be interesting to see what he does with what he got. Best of luck to him.

Michelle Obama looked stunning and I loved her dress.

His daughters were just so adorable. How cool would it be to say that your dad is the President of the USA. Such an honor. What do you call the children of the president? First daughters.

Wonders what kind of dog the Obama's are getting?

You know when you look back at history you can you were alive when the first black president was put into office. At least this is something joyful. Cause you can say in years to come I was alive when 9/11 happened.

I am so sad that the Eagles didn't win the game. It would have been cool to have an all PA Super Bowl. Cause I hate the Steelers (ok my friend Michelle is a fan so I have to root against her team) Go Cardinals!!

I wish it would stop snowing. Snowed in the morning then snowed again while I was driving home. Is it spring yet??

Happy Martin Luther King Jr Day! If Mr. King was still alive he would be 80 and I wonder what he would have thought about President Elect Obama. I am thrilled about our new president but he has inherited such a mess.

So there is a possibility that my best friend might be up from NC for her birthday which happens to fall during my time out west so I might not even get to see her. Sobs. :(

Nicole Parker who is the new Elphaba in Wicked in NYC singing Defying Gravity as Sarah Palin. I love it.

I am a huge fan of Idina Menzel's. For those who don't know she was Maureen in the original cast of Rent and Elphaba in Wicked. Almost a year ago she put out her own CD I Stand which I love. I saw her at a CD last February and 3 concerts in the last year. I just love her music.

I am going to 2 more concerts in March. The first one is in NJ with my college roommate Donna. She has never probably hear Idina but I asked if she wanted to go. I am staying at her house since she knows where the event is being held. It's cheaper then paying for a hotel down there.

The second concert which is the one I bought a ticket for first is in Long Island and I am going with my friend Dianne. Her son goes to college where the concert is being held. She met Idina at the CD signing last year.

I realized as much as I complain about living in NJ I am very fortunate in what I get to do.

6 degrees outside right now. But once you factor in wind chill it is below 0. In the negative numbers. How I wish I was somewhere warmer. Winter just sucks when you have to go out in it.

I am so going to spending all day cleaning my room if it kills me.

A few more days till bye bye Bush and welcome Obama.
